EF English First is an international company (with the head offices in Sweden and England) which franchises English language schools throughout Southeast Asia, Russia, Eastern Europe and some countries in Latin America. The school has been in operation since 1996 and it is locally owned and managed by young professionals graduated from American universities.

As the largest school in Jakarta, our goal is to provide the students with a multi faceted program of instruction including general English courses, TOEFL training and Business, as well as conversation classes. We also try to provide the faculty with a professional yet easy going atmosphere with the purpose of having an enjoyable and team oriented working environment.

Currently we have more than 17 full-time and part-time teachers. Most of the teachers are between 25 and 45 years old. They come from England, the United States, Australia, Canada and 2 are Indonesian.

As part of the requirements, all of the teachers have a TEFL/TESOL certificate or significant teaching experience and qualifications. Contracts are renewable and we have a good number of teachers on second and third year contracts.

The trio, Darwo, Rahman and Waca are always ready to assist you with whatever you need. From making a photo copy, ordering food or fixing a leaking roof at your house.
