We require native speaking teachers who have self-motivation, a pleasant personality, the ability to work with others, and an interest in Indonesian culture.

The candidate should have a university degree, and RSA / TEFL / CELTA certificate or equivalent. However, significant experience may occasionally be accepted in lieu of certification.

The salary is paid in the local currency but it should afford a comfortable lifestyle including the cost of holiday travelling within Indonesia. We consider our compensation package to be competitive compared to other language schools in Indonesia.

While our currency (the Rupiah) is currently unstable, we would not at present recommend anyone with debts in their home country to come here with the expectation of paying those debts on the money saved here.

After two months, the contract provides for the working and resident permits, with all costs associated with it (including the agent's fees, Singapore trip, and hotel expenses) paid by the school.The school also provides for the cost of an economy class flight from the nearest international airport to be reimbursed after completion of three months employment.

The cost of the return airfare will be reimbursed upon satisfactory completion of the one-year contract. Also, upon satisfactory completion of the contract, a bonus of one month's salary will be paid.

Full medical coverage of hospitalisation will be covered plus 'out-patient' coverage of Rp. 1,500,000 per year with any unused portion of this being given at the end of the contract as an additional bonus.

Paid holidays are14 days per year in addition to numerous Public Holidays, the two weeks at Christmas and the week of the Moslem Ramadhan.

Many of our teachers live in a middle-class development just behind the school about 5 to 10 minutes walking distance away. The school's houses are simple but comfortable masonry-stucco structures; they come with standard appliances and furniture and they have air-conditioning in the bedrooms.

The rent for one single house with two bedrooms is between Rp. 600,000 and Rp. 1,300,000 per month, with electricity and phone extra, and some teachers share houses to keep costs low.

Other teachers choose to live in boarding houses; rooms in these can be rented on a monthly basis for around Rp. 400,000 per month.

The neighbourhood around the school is generally quiet but, as in many areas in Jakarta, roaming dogs and street vendors can be a bit noisy in the late evening and early morning.

There is a shopping centre and modern super market with two fast food restaurants (KFC and A&W) within easy walking distance from the school
